Paul’s role as an If U Care Share Trustee 

Paul brings a wealth of experience from his varied career in media, having worked with organisations such as the BBC, before moving into teaching further education. Paul spent many years working as a Senior Lecturer, inspiring students to develop their skills and confidence. Now retired, he continues to offer his time and expertise to support our charitable work. 

In 2016, Paul became involved with the charity following the loss of his son, Simon, to suicide. Since then, he has pledged to help others affected by similar experiences, using his insight and compassion to inform our work. As a Trustee, Paul provides valuable perspective, dedication and a strong commitment to ensuring that no family has to face such loss alone. 

In 2025, at the age of 71, he took on his first marathon and raised over £2,000 for If U Care Share Foundation.
