What we do
We provide a range of services fundamental to our three main aims of prevention, intervention and supporting those bereaved by suicide.
Prevention
Our team provides practical and emotional support for people affected by thoughts of suicide, helping individuals access the right guidance, resources and support when they need it most. We provide personalised suicide prevention and support, shaped around each person’s needs and experiences.
The Suicide Prevention Support service is available throughout County Durham (excluding Darlington).
Support After Suicide
Our person-centred approach recognises that everyone requires support bespoke to them, delivered in person, over the phone or in another suitable setting.
Whether the loss was recent or many years ago, we are here to support anyone impacted by suicide, including family members, friends, witnesses and wider communities.
Training
From workplaces to primary schools, we deliver suicide prevention training and workshops to organisations and communities across the UK. We believe having conversations saves lives, and our training helps aid those conversations.
Our sessions are designed to help people recognise the signs that someone may be struggling, feel more confident having difficult conversations, and understand how to offer support in a safe and compassionate way.
