Meet the Team
Alisha Rowlands Support Coordinator
What do you do at If U Care Share?
Hey I’m Alisha, and I work as a Support Coordinator here at IUCS .
In my role as support Coordinator we are first point of contact in the office when it comes to providing support. I help initiate calls and assiting with any inquiries to ensure communication flows smoothly between our team and those we support. I take pride in creating a welcoming experience for everyone who reaches out to us.
Why did you join If U Care Share?
I joined If U Care Share because mental health has always been a deeply personal and important part of my life. After losing my mum in 2002, my family and I realised how little support was available for those bereaved by suicide. During that time, we wished there had been somewhere like IUCS to help guide and support us through our grief.
Being part of this organisation means so much to me , I get to help people every day, which truly feels like my calling in life. I’ve also experienced my own struggles with mental health and have been in a place where I didn’t want to go on. Because of that, I understand how vital it is to have the right support and to recognise both the good and the difficult days. Helping others through their journey makes my heart feel whole, and I’m proud to be part of a team that brings hope and understanding to those who need it most.
If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would definitely be to the Bahamas or Bora Bora so I can finally tick swimming with the piggies off my bucket list!
What are some things that make you happy?
And lastly, one of my favourite things to do is ask everyone my all-time favourite question
If you had to choose a three-course meal, starter, main, and dessert to eat forever, what would it be?”
Alongside my work as a Support Coordinator, I’m also a Level 5 Acne Skin Specialist , something I’m really proud of! I love spending my spare time helping people feel confident and happy in their own skin. It’s such a rewarding feeling to see someone leave with a smile, knowing I’ve played a small part in boosting their confidence. It’s a huge achievement for me to have amazing clients and to be able to offer treatment services that make a difference.
What is your favourite biscuit and why?
Custard Creams.
Anything else you would like to share with the world?
Something I want to share with the world is that no matter how hard life feels, there is always hope. I’ve learned that even on the darkest days, light finds its way through and sometimes you can be that light for someone else.
Also Ketchup should be kept in the Fridge not the cupboard.
That will be my final statement Good night and God bless
