What do you do at IUCSF?

I am a Suicide Prevention Officers at IUCS, working in a team that provides both practical and emotional support to individuals at risk of suicide.

Describe why you’re at IUCSF?

Bringing a wealth of experience to IUCSF, as well as sadly losing close friends and colleagues to suicide, I wanted to make a real difference in supporting people who are struggling to cope.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would personally like to travel to New Zealand to enjoy its untamed wilderness, cultural heritage, world class rugby and to utilise it as a staging post to explore Asia and the Pacific Islands. What a trip!

What are some of the things that make you happy?

Time spent with family and friends, the great outdoors, rugby union, and black Labradors.

What is your favourite biscuit and why?

Without question, Tunnocks wafers, for the pure nostalgia, and of course the limited calories!

Anything else you would like to share with the world?

A quote which sits firmly with my beliefs and also IUCSF is “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much”.
