What do you do at IUCSF?

I am a Support Officer and I support those who have been impacted by suicide.

Describe why you’re at IUCSF?

I have personal experience of being bereaved by suicide due to my Dad taking his own life in 2017. I didn’t just lose my Dad that day, I lost my hero and my best friend aswell as any sense of who I was and I was unable to see any form of happiness ever again.

Then If U Care Share came along and supported me and I honestly believe that they saved me. Finally I was understood and I didn’t feel alone.

I then went on to be a volunteer before going onto being employed as a Support Officer and join an incredible team.

This isn’t a job to me, it is who I am now and it is my daily mission to give people the hope and a life worth living that I now have.

I am the proof in the pudding that If U Care Share can change and save lives and that there always is a way.

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Anywhere as long as the sun will be shinning and I can lie around the pool of a lovely all inclusive hotel.

What are some things that make you happy?

  • My little Westie Billy
  • Long walks on the beach
  • Big bubble baths!
  • What is your favourite biscuit, and why?
  • Millies double chocolate cookie.

Anything else you would like to share with the world?

I completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks!
