What do you do at IUCSF?

I am the suicide prevention lead; my role is to provide practical and emotional support which is both timely and appropriate.

Describe why you’re at IUCSF?

I see it as a mission.

I have seen the devastating effect suicide can have and my mission is to stop that happening wherever possible.

I strongly believe that my role saves lives and there is no better feeling both personally or professionally

If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I think it would have to be a city break to New York and New Orleans at the moment but Bora Bora isn’t far behind!

What are some things that make you happy?

Photography, Boxer dogs and good company all of which I get at home, the odd win for Newcastle United and Tea…

What is your favourite biscuit, and why?

Jammie dodgers, several reasons – They come in jumbo packs, they are crunchy and dunkable.

In the event of an emergency, I can eat a whole packet in 26 seconds.

They complement tea…I love tea.

Anything else you would like to share with the world?

There is always a way, you are too important to risk and never give up!
